Environmental Consulting
Since the adoption of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act of 1972 and the Clean Water Act amendments in 1977, the development community has been subject to increasing rules and regulations addressing environmental issues on new and redeveloped projects. As the Federal government, the State of Florida and the local governments have adopted additional environmental protections, ZNS Engineering, L.C. has been there to assist our clients in working through the regulatory maze.
Our Environmental Services Department was initiated in 1983 in response to this growing focus on wetlands and wildlife protections. We understand the history behind the progression of the rules and we understand the impact it has had on the regulated community, as well as the benefits it has provided for our natural environment. As a result, ZNS has successfully managed the integration of the rules into the project design process.
At ZNS Engineering L.C., we believe the most cost effective method for developing a project is to have all disciplines knowledgeable and involved in the initial project design. Our environmental professionals understand the rules and regulations affecting development, but more importantly, we understand the fiscal, aesthetic and constructability issues associated with those rules and regulations. By understanding the impact these issues have on a project, we can minimize the impacts on cost, functionality and aesthetics through proper project design and implementation of the regulations.
